Description
Carved in walnut wood, the baptismal font is protected by an arched wooden door adorned with decoration depicting the Baptism of Christ. In a landscape of stylized vegetation, Saint John the Baptist pours baptismal water over Christ’s bowed head using a scallop shell. Christ is illuminated by the dove of the Holy Spirit emerging from a clouded sky.
