Description
This polished blue stone tessera, shaped as a parallelogram, comes from the Antoing-Tournai quarries. It was found in the soil of the parish cemetery located south of the Saint-Piat collegiate church, which was abandoned around 1175.
Together with other blue stone and white marble tesserae, it covered the floor of the choir of the Romanesque collegiate church of Seclin, built around the year 1000.
